Burns Supper

Save the date! We will be holding a Burns’ Supper on January 24th, 2026, at Collier United. Come and enjoy an evening of roast beef, haggis, “neeps and tatties,” piper, highland dancing, and a cash bar!

The gathering will be held at 5:00 PM, and the supper at 6:00 PM.

Tickets are $50 each, available after the service and from the church office.

Four Week Advent Study

Beginning Wednesday, November 26 at 1:30 PM, at Collier Street United Church

Join us this Advent as we “sing along” with those around Jesus at His birth. Each week, we’ll explore one of the songs from Luke’s Gospel:

• Week 1: Mary’s Song (Magnificat)

• Week 2: Zechariah’s Song (Benedictus)

• Week 3: The Angels’ Song (Gloria in Excelsis)

• Week 4: Simeon’s Song (Nunc Dimittis) and Psalm 96

A wonderful chance to invite a neighbour or friend and welcome them to our Christmas Eve service, too!

Blue Christmas Service

There will be a joint Blue Christmas Service at Collier Street United Church on Sunday, December 21st at 3:00 pm. If the Christmas season is leaving you feeling overwhelmed, anxious or sad, join Rev. Joanne and Rev. Doreen for this special service.

Little Warmer Winter Tree

As the temperatures become cooler, we know that winter is just
around the corner and for many this means trying to stay warm.
Once again, the WMS have erected their Little Warmer Winter Tree at the corner of Owen Street and Worsley Street, as of November 1st.

Donations of warm hats, socks, scarves and mittens may be
dropped off in the tote each Sunday at Steckley’s. During the
week, you can leave your donations in the tote at Collier Street
United Church during office hours. Let’s help keep everyone in
Barrie warm this winter!
